Hiring A Social Media Manager
So, I have always been one who has struggled when it comes to social media. Both for my own personal use and also for anything professional. No matter what I do, who I talk to, or watch, I just don't feel very comfortable with it. It's not exactly a secret that if you want to be successful these days you need to be on socials. So, I'm going to hire someone.
I have tried my best to learn more about how to use social media to help grow, exchange and capitalise on my online presence. Over the years I have done everything, read a number of books, and watched countless YouTube videos on the subject. I even paid for an online course that I thought would help me but alas it did not.
I have always found it hard to admit to myself that I need help. I have been known to be the kind of guy that will try to do everything myself. I build the websites, do most of the writing, I stream, upload to YouTube, graphic design and social media. Having all of these skills is great, it means I can keep my costs low while offering you the best content I can.
On the other hand, it means that I don't do any of these as good as someone who specialises in that. For the most part, this hasn't bothered me all that much. But as we go forward I am looking to grow my readership and generally building my following online. So to that end, I've decided to spend some cash and hire someone who knows what they are doing.
I'm now looking through various online platforms to find someone to help me run social media accounts, keep an eye out for further updates about where to find us across the internet in the near future. What do you guys think about this, good use of funds? A bad idea? Let me know!
Thanks for reading,
Spec.
You're saying social media isn't a fantastic blessing to our society that is super easy to manage and only serves to improve our mental health?
ReplyDeletebut really if it's breaking you down and it's not your skillset, then yeah it makes sense to let someone else take the reigns. IDK the financials of this to address that side, but accepting help is just investing in your own success. Go ahead and make this better for yourself and for any readers.
Thanks Jacob. It's one of those situations where I have to admit my shortcomings and shell out some cold hard cash. I'm seeing it as an investment, will give it a couple months and see if it is paying off or not. Maybe the investment could be better spent elsewhere. But the only way to know is to shake the tree and see what falls out.
