Catching Up

Yesterday I went to my old college St John Rigby with Claire. It was good to see all of the staff there and catch up. I never really realised how much I miss being there.
With that being said I know that moving onto a higher level of education is a good thing. Talking to the Chaplin reminded me of just how far I have come. Not just in the usual way, but also with how much I know myself. I know who I am, where I want to be and what I need to do.
I'm really proud that Claire has decided to stick at education. She's had a rough time at Wigan and Leigh and almost gave up on education in general. But now, after going meeting the staff with me as I was catching up with them she has changed her mind.
I'm really looking forward to going back into education started university level work. I will do it at a local college as I don't feel up to getting a train to go to a real university yet. I think it's hard for the parents of younger autistic children to look forward. Sometimes it seems like no progress is being made and that can be hard. Honestly, think back a year or two, I bet your child has improved, maybe a little, maybe a lot, but the improvement is there.
On another note we are approaching 5000  page views! So why not get sharing and let's try to get there this month, that would be amazing. You can share an individual post by clicking on the small buttons at the bottom of each post or share the whole blog by copy and pasting the web address to your chosen social media.

Thanks for reading,

Spec.
