About Us
Jace
Hi! My name is Jace. I use he/him pronouns and I am an artist. I am also a criminology student with chronic pain syndrome and suspected autism (I'm on the waiting list for an assessment). Some of my obsessions are Minecraft, art, fantasy, and films such as Lord of the rings. I may talk about these and other obsessions a lot. One of the main reasons for helping to write the blog is to hopefully help others understand neurodivergent people and to help others feel more confident in themselves as you all should be proud of who you are :)
Panda
So, it has been decided that I will be helping around here by doing some blog posts. I’m sure this was a mutual decision that I don’t remember! So here it is, my first post. I go by a lot of names due to being so many different things to different people. To help keep my children, who will be talking about a lot, I will stick with Panda. This was a name my baby niece decided to use for me a few years ago.
So here I am Panda a 33-year-old, mother of 2. I have a 14-year-old boy who has a lot of learning difficulties, most yet have not been diagnosed. I also have a little girl who is almost 11 and currently going through the process of gaining a diagnosis of autism and ADHD.
As you can imagine having two children with additional needs makes life a bit fuller on than a “normal” household. Being the sucker I am, I always want to do more, when I’m not chasing up appointments and school stuff, I’m usually sitting at a computer looking at what I can find resource-wise to help other parents feel less like they are drowning. Doing this made me feel like there was a gap in the market for support so earlier this year I started to work on a project to do this full-time.
Over the next few weeks and months, I am sure I will open up about this project more, along with more about the chaos of being an SEN mum. But for now, that is all for today and ill write more in my next post.
Vee
Hey! I’m Vee, I’m 38 and am Autistic with ADHD and a few mental health struggles to throw in the mix!
I’m a full-time mama and carer to my 2 autistic child, 2 boys aged 10 and 13.
I was diagnosed late in life so I’m still learning so much about myself and learning to embrace who I am all the while trying to teach my boys to be proud of who they are as we all navigate this crazy world together!
I enjoy crafting, gaming and reading when I can the chance and absolutely any sort of trash reality TV!
I look forward to sharing our journey with you all
Vee xx
